My Worst Performance

I'm in the marching band in my high school, and we had to march for the football homecoming one Friday night.

It had been raining non stop that day and we still had to march. EVERYBODY showed up for the homecoming, so there was no room for error (literally!). We marched on to the field and turned a 4 count turn. Half way in to the turn I tripped on my shoe string and fell flat on my face!

I was just going to lay there, but my band instructor told me to "get up and just get it over with". EVERYONE in the stadium was laughing. So i went ahead with the performance and as we were marching off i slipped and landed face first in the mud.

It was the worst performance in my life!!! Just to give you a heads up - if you are in the band :

1. make sure your shoe is tied
2. do not march in the mud and water!!
