Ok so im 13 and i got my period two weeks ago,(the day before my best freinds pool party). I HAD to go because she's my best friend and I couldnt let her down. The day i got my period my mom gave me pads. BUT NO ONE TOLD ME YOU CANT GO IN WATER WITH PADS ON!!!
Of course I go to my best friends pool party and go in the pool, with a pad on!!! It falls out in the pool and my best freind goes, "You got your period and went in water with a pad on!" I nod yes and start crying my way out of the pool. My mom's freind runs after me and offers me to take a shower in my best freinds bathroom and another pad. I take her offer.
I come out of the shower and all my friends and my mom were there! I sarted to break down in tears for the secound time that day, so my mom takes me home early. In the car on the way home she gives me this whole lecture on periods and how you can only use tampons in water. I was so embrassed!
