Bad habit - Thats Embarrassing!!

This happened years ago in school. Sister Bernadine and the nuns used to wear their hair packed tight into those black and white nun habits. We never got to see what their hair looked like under the caps and veils.

One day, the lid of her hat unhooked and was sliding off down her back when she was teaching, and she didn't know it. The front and sides were still on the thing. She didn't know her hair had come out and all the way down her back. I yelled out, "What do you know, she's a blonde!" and the whole class laughed. She caught on, and called me up and whacked my hand while more curls went into her face. She stormed out in a huff and came back later all fixed up acting like nothing happened.

I was embarrassed to get punished, but I think she was more embarrassed than me.

How long WAS her hair? Not clear here. Their hair length, I think, depended on their order. Some sisters had only a light trim, others had their heads completely shaved.
