Congratulations! - Thats Embarrassing!!

I would have to say one of the most awkward and embarassing moments would have to be while standing in the checkout line at Wal-Mart. I was around 27 or 28 at the time and my mother was with me, which added to the embarrassment. A girl I used to work with was standing in front of my and was waiting for her stuff to ring up. Now, I'm a slightly overweight girl, but I was wearing this big, bulky, winter sweater that made me look even bigger. The girl suddenly turned to me and exclaimed "Oh! Congratulations!" I said what for and she said "for finally getting pregnant". I was so totally mortified, especially when I had to announce in front of her, my mother, AND the cashier that no, I wasn't pregnant. I tried covering up the fact that I was so embarrassed by explaining that the shirt was oversized and made me look bigger, but I couldn't even look the cashier in the eye when it was my turn because I was so embarrassed.
