| I remember once when I was in the fourth grade, I really had to go to the bathroom, so I got a pass and went. Turns out I had to have diarrhea, so I did my business and walked out. My little ingenious brain was working overtime, and I realized that that is considered being sick, so maybe I could go home. I go back to class, and there's nobody except the teacher in the room, since its now recess. I go up to my teacher, and proudly announce "I had diarrhea!!!" He gives me a "WTF?" look, and I realize that my class is not outside, just in the back room getting their coats. To make matters worse, right before I said it, the new student teacher walks in. |

I think I left a lasting impression on her. Her first experience with a grade school kid is to hear them say something like that. She had the most disgusted look on her face. My classmates weren't too pleased either. They just sort of walked out, giving me odd little sideways glances, and I just stood there like an idiot.
Finally, I turn back to my teacher and ask: "Can I go to the nurse???" |
